Abba's House Bible Training Center has one, simple mission: To equip believers to be successful in spreading the Gospel in the place that God has planted them. We do this by offering classes that mix theological and biblical training with practical ways to walk out the truth of God's Word every day.
By equipping believers with an advanced understanding of God's Word and how to apply it, our ultimate hope is to build up the local church and support local Pastors by helping to equip their people.
Our current and former students will all tell stories of how God has clarified their calling, given them more tools necessary to fulfill that calling, and given them life-long friendships with other students also committed to God's Word.
Give yourself the opportunity today to be equipped for life!
Certificate of Biblical Studies
This 2-year program consists of students taking 6 hours, or 2 classes, each semester, finishing having taken all of our core classes. When completed, student's will be much better equipped with Bible knowledge and ministry skills to truly impact the Kingdom from the place that God has planted them.
We recognize that not everyone has the time to commit to a 2-year course of study. For this reason we allow student's to audit any class they would like. All we ask is that they commit to regular attendance and participation both in class and with the reading. This is a great way to advance in your calling while placing a priority on your already full schedule. Student's are able to transition to the two year program after the first year and receive credit for the classes they completed given that they completed all assignments.
Spring Class:A Journey Through Genesis
This Fall we will be offering a new class on the biblical book of Genesis. As a new year begins, we can think of no better book to study than the one that tells us about beginnings.
The class is open to all! Visit the Admissions tab to register!
Instructors who care
All of our instructors are carefully chosen to be sure our student’s are receiving the best instruction possible. Everyone who teaches must be well educated, have pastoral and/or ministry experience, and have a love for teaching. Throughout the course of 2 years, students will be exposed to different instructors who all bring a unique perspective on the subject.
Students will have full access to a theological library containing over 2,000 individual volumes, including over 700 individual scholarly commentaries representing every book of the Bible. Library hours are flexible during the semesters to meet student’s needs, providing a place for study and group work.
A few times each year we invite a special guest to teach a unique class on a topic that they specialize in. These are great times for students and the general public alike to learn from some of the foremost experts on topics that interest them. Students can often complete assignments and allow one of these classes to replace a core class in the program.
